(68.6 cm) x 12.0'' (30.5 cm) The Watchman 6555 ft (1998 m) stands guard at the south entrance to Zion Canyon. Angels Landing offers spectacular views of Zion Canyon. It rises to an elevation of 5790 ft (1765 m) above sea level, and a height of about 1400 ft (430 m) above the main canyon floor. Walter’s Wiggles is a twisted series of 21 switchbacks. The Gateway to The Narrows affords a spectacular view of the Virgin River and the towering 2000 foot (600 m) high walls of the slot canyon. In the distance is the Mountain of Mystery 6546 ft (1995 m). At Weeping Rock continuous rain "weeps" from the alcove’s ceiling. Water percolating through the sandstone started its journey about 1400 years ago. The Great White Throne rises majestically to a height of 6744 ft (2056 m). |
